Wounded at Dieppe
Found out many years later, my cousin, Wilfred Price, Royal Canadian Engineers, who survived the Dieppe Raid, where his Company sustained 80% casualties, cleared mines at this location about the same time I was there. He was so bitter about the Dieppe Raid, that he would not even tolerate any mention of it-He was Mentioned in Dispatches fur his part in the operation. About 40 years after he was there, one day, during a visit, he told me his Story and I understand why he felt the way he did. It makes me appreciate all the more what our soldiers went through. He was supporting the RHLI at Dieppe.source-Frederick I Price WWII memoriespage: 91 in the DESCENDANTS OF EDMUND AND JANE [WEBB] PRICE
